Dissemination Riverside Community College How would you assess the transferability of the re-design approach you employed to new subject areas or disciplines? The transferability of this redesign to disciplines that have a set process and require practice-type skills is high. Such disciplines might include grammar, logic, nursing, and music theory. The level of interest in the redesign has been high for the most part, especially in regard to the ALEKS program. In addition to the formal presentations listed above, we have provided information to colleges in Florida, Illinois and California by phone and email. Objections and reservations are usually centered around our expectations that remedial-level students will voluntarily participate in the optional workshops and that they will be disciplined enough to spend time on task.
